In the charming village of Stenje, we make a short coffee break. Here you will experience authentic Macedonian village life and the friendly atmosphere of the locals. We then drive along an adventurous, sometimes rough trail to the village of Konjsko. Along the way, you can enjoy little surprises in nature, such as birds and flowers growing wild here. From Konjsko, our boat trip to Golem Grad, also known as Pelican Island, begins.
Pelican Island is an uninhabited island, just 300 metres from the borders with Albania and Greece. The island is known for its impressive population of pelicans (in season), other bird species, turtles and traces of ancient civilisations. During the excursion, we will climb up the island, so closed or sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Lunch will be served as a picnic on the island, so you can quietly enjoy the natural surroundings and adventurous nature of this unique place. There will also be plenty of time to take photos and really soak up the atmosphere of the island.
