On this unique day excursion, you will discover three villages, each with its own religion, atmosphere and character - as if you were travelling hundreds of kilometres through different countries in one day. A wonderful introduction to the diversity of northern Macedonia, just a stone's throw from Ohrid.

Vishni - With the locals in the mountains

Our cultural day trip begins in the mountains, in the hushed village of Vishni. Here, we are warmly welcomed by a local couple and enjoy a traditional cup of coffee in people's homes. In this remote village, you experience authentic rural life, far away from mass tourism. We visit an atmospheric Orthodox church surrounded by legends and mystical stories - a place full of history and symbolism.

Vevchani - The most famous mountain village with crystal clear springs

We then travel on to Vevchani, perhaps the most famous mountain village in the region. Vevchani is known for its impressive springs and Orthodox Christian community. Here we take time for a sumptuous lunch in an atmospheric restaurant where North Macedonian hospitality and traditional dishes are the focus. While enjoying local specialities, look out over a breathtaking valley overlooking the shimmering Lake Ohrid.

Labunishta - Another faith, another world

After lunch, we descend to the village Labunishta, a village inhabited mainly by ethnic Macedonian Muslims. Here we experience how religion and culture alternate in a small geographical radius. The atmosphere is different, the people are different - and yet together they form a harmonious whole within northern Macedonian society.

An excursion full of impressions and insights

At the end of the afternoon, we return via the city Struga back to Ohrid. This day trip will leave a lasting impression: from the hospitality of the villagers to the beautiful nature and the contrast between religious experiences.
