Experience an unforgettable adventure with our Jeep Safari through National Park Galičica. The start is from Ohrid. We set off in comfortable jeeps driven by experienced drivers who know the area well. We start the day relaxed with a coffee stop at the foot of the mountain. From then on, you are continuously surrounded by beautiful views of Lake Ohrid.
Thanks to the jeeps, we reach places that are hardly accessible on foot. As a result, you will discover in one day what hikers normally see in several days. This off-road excursion is therefore perfect for nature lovers, adventurers and anyone who wants to experience Macedonia in a unique way.
Along the way, we explore a World War I site. We visit a special summit with trenches, caves and ancient ammunition remains. We also drive over rugged terrain while enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa.
Moreover, you will encounter unique flora along the way. Think wild herbs, rare flowers and ancient forests. The contrast with the open, barren plains at high altitude makes this trip extra special. This makes this part of the park truly unforgettable.
Next, we visit an abandoned ski lift, a silent witness to an old winter sports area. What was once lively and busy is now deserted and quiet. This creates a mysterious atmosphere, amid impressive nature.
To conclude, we enjoy a tasty barbecue lunch in a unique place: above the tree line. On the terrace of the only inhabited house in the park, you will taste traditional dishes surrounded by pristine nature. This location is perfect for unwinding.
On the way back, we will be happy to tell you some fun facts about the park and the region. Finally, this excursion is not only adventurous, but also educational and relaxing. For that reason, the Jeep Safari is highly recommended for anyone who wants to discover the less accessible parts of Macedonia, but does not want to spend whole days hiking.
Would you rather not go up in the sky, but still enjoy Lake Ohrid and views of Galičica National Park? Then join our boat trip!
